Ingredients

For the Garlic Butter Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the shrimp: If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Heat the pan: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Let the butter melt completely.
  • Sauté the garlic: Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir constantly to avoid burning.
  • Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until pink, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Finish with lemon juice: Once the shrimp are fully cooked, squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately: Enjoy over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.

Notes

For a spicy version, add 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes while cooking the garlic.
Use wild-caught shrimp for the best flavor.
Pair with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc for an elevated dining experience.
