Ingredients

For the Cake Pops:

  • 1 cup crumbled cake any flavor, such as chocolate or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup frosting to bind the cake crumbs
  • 2 cups chocolate or candy melts for coating

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract for extra flavor
  • Sprinkles crushed nuts, or cookie crumbs (for decoration)
  • White chocolate or colored candy melts for coating variation

Instructions

  • Crumble the cake into fine pieces in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the frosting and mix using a spatula or your hands until it forms a dough-like consistency.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.
  • Melt the chocolate or candy melts according to the package instructions.
  • Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into the center of each cake ball.
  • Fully dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off.
  • Decorate immediately with sprinkles or other toppings while the coating is still wet.
  • Place the coated cake pops on parchment paper and allow them to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Notes

To prevent the cake pops from cracking, avoid extreme temperature changes when dipping.
For best results, use candy melts designed for dipping to ensure a smooth coating.
Store cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
